The interval specialization of the Alexander--Whitney diagonal

Only the last two cuts of the classical diagonal survive after mapping the right factor to the normalized interval complex. We give this map explicitly. Its chain identity and naturality are the precise specialization of Goerss--Jardine, IV.2, Remark 2.5, retained as published inputs in this phase. Positivity, the right counit and both endpoints are proved from the formula.
