L4DEL explanations are a separate layer. They do not change the Lean source. Intuition is explanatory prose; numbered items are a reading path; sources link the wording back to evidence.

    L4DEL explanation

choose one with minimum order and then minimum number of arcs.

From any finite oriented counterexample, this theorem reindexes a counterexample onto Fin n, minimizes n, then minimizes the number of arcs. The chosen relation is oriented, remains a counterexample, is order- and arc-minimal, has nonempty boundary for every nontrivial subset, and has positive indegree.

    1. Nat.find first selects the least positive order admitting an oriented counterexample.
    2. A second well-founded choice selects the least arc count at that order; previously proved minimality consequences supply boundary nonemptiness and incoming neighbors.
